Okay. I have a buddy that I tried giving a job to, but, he is really only interested in a PC Tech/Jr. Network Engineer job.
The reason he isn't posting here has nothing to do with his work ethics, as I assure you he has some really great ethics/habits, else I wouldnt have extend him a position (regardless of being a friend, as I distinguish and segregate between friendship and owner/employee) to work for me.
Here are his cert's as far as I know:
A+, MCSE, with about 8 years in the public sector both on his time and an employers time of experience, as well as 5 years in the military (where we met).
One of his gripes to me in a typical friend to friend conversation is that "many turn me away for a 'lower' income job because I am MCSE certified, but that doesnt change the fact that I need money." In essence, he is a hard worker, he needs to put food on his table and he isnt the type to feel any job is "beneath him." I know the concern of hiring an "overly" qualified person, as a business owner I understand and can appreciate this. However, this is genuinely one person that I can say will work the job and not leave you hanging at the last minute due to finding a "higher paying" job. He'll stay with you if you/your company treats him right and he'll show you every bit of respect right back. He gives 110%. I really wish he would come work for me in the import parts selling world, as he truly is a hard worker.
Staying late to get a job done, paid or not isnt uncommon for him. "Whatever it takes" truly is his motto.
At any rate. Just trying to help a buddy out, like friends are to do. Ive known him since he and I were in the Navy together.
PM me or email me and I will forward those that appear serious to him. I would forward to him, but, because of his ethics, he responds to EVERY email sent to him, with courtesy and respect.. even if someone were to send him an email for something like a waste disposal engineer position. I'd rather he not waste his time. So, send me to and if its a position in accordance with this post, I'll forward it to him ASAP. Rest assured he will respond within 24 hours of receiving it.
