Theyre currently hiring for HDS Level 1 / 1.5, benefits are nice, i believe starting pay is 11$/hr, 40 hours/week. Must be proficient with windows, good with tcp/net, and they prefer previous helpdesk experience. Forward a copy of your resume to m0nk3y@tampabay.rr.com (in confidence, of course). Training is not technical, it is mainly policy, internally developed software, and proceedural. Next class starts on the 5th.

I used to work there, it's a good job if you want to make $11 the rest of your life. you will never get hired on by verizon unless you are there for 4+ years so don't let Kathy lure you in with that. You probably won't get a raise either. Benefits suck.

Other than that it's really a relaxed job, no one down your neck or anything like that. They used to start at $12 an hour.

they raised the salary 3 weeks ago, so its a bit better, and there are now opportunities for advancement. not the greatest, but i didnt advertise it as the best job ever :p

and, the benefits are pretty damn good, just finished a round of doctors visits, for which i paid 25 bucks for, as well as dentists visits (cleaning + 2 fillings) for around 100 bucks, including the once a year $50 deductable for fillings. at an out of network dentist. not bad.

if you havent heard back, they didnt pick you, and in some cases, they didnt pick you yet. they tend to take the best qualified first, and save the lesser qualified for the end of the hiring if they cant find exactly what theyre looking for.
