Well, that would depend. What are your PC's current "credentials?" What amount are you looking to spend? Are you trading the PC for the laptop, or selling the PC and buying a laptop?

right now I have 80 gig h/d, 1.6ghz Pentium 4 processor...1gb of ram, windows xp, cd/dvd burner.....

something close to that

I'd prefer to just buy the laptop itself and give this PC to my mom...
