Matt and I went and BOTH of us felt it was over-hyped. My meal sucked. My meal was cold and Matt's was hot, my chicken was practically leather and my rice had so much black pepper in it, it was insane. The music was so loud Matt and I couldn't hear each other, and we couldn't ever get our server's attention. Maybe one day if there's no wait, i'd try it again on the hope it was an off night. But, I really don't have a need to: there's an amazing delivery place down the street, no hour wait required.

I was not impressed. I ordered something essentially that was a chinese fajitas, there was more lettuce than chicken by a long shot. The soup was cool, but eh, next time im going to try the mongolian beef

i'd save you the trouble with the mongolian beef. dry, bland, not even a hint of spice, but shit they pile on the green onions if you're into that stuff. makes the plate looks good that's about it.

check it out ofcourse and see for yourself, but i would much rather just order from panda express.

so i went there sunday night.

appetizer - chicken lettuce wrap; crispy & sweet. it very good! score 4/4
main dish: mongolian beef- they served the green scallions uncut. The beef was moist & tender. score 3/4
- (something) Lamb - the sauce that it was served in was tasty. Comes in a bed of chopped red & green peppers. 3/4
being asian, i felt their rice was dry but eatable. 2/4
dessert - fried banana rolls w/ coconut icecream. i was suprised how good this was. i was expecting it to be too sweet but it was just right. 3/4

overall. its the best chinese food i've had in years. The reason i scored majority of them 3/4 is b/c i'd rather try something else on the menu next time around instead of ordering it again. But the 3/4's are def worth checking out if you havent tried it. On the other hand, the lettuce wrap is a must.

from my experience from working in chinese resturants couple years ago seeing what goes on in the back. ill never eat at those plaze chinese joints ever again. recently there was a bust where a chinese place was cooking and mixing their food with peices of cardboard to pass as meat in their food just to save money on meats.

uhm that was in China, and if you ever eat at a plaza chinese place, uhm eww, but on a side note FL is really lacking in the GOOD food department. After remembering that I now why you think PF Changs is good.

Yeah I went to the one in Vegas. That place is over hyped and over priced and to me not that great. I've had a lot better Chinese at hole in the wall places.

Here's a better alternative.

The Yummy House on waters and armenia.

Best authentic chinese food you will ever have, I promise.

The prices are good and the portions are ridiculous.

Back when my wife and I used to live in Virginia, we regularly went to a place called Palm Tree. That was some awesome Chinese food right there! I miss Palm Tree...
