+1 to PF Changs. More upscale than your typical Chinese buffet but very inexpensive.
For Dim Sum, Ho Ho's in the Mission Bell Plaza at Dale Mabry and Fletcher. Man that stuff is good and cheap!

For those of you that think Joto's is good - your missing out ;)
Do I eat there - yeah but only because it's down the street and convenient. Kobe's has better food and better prices, and if you get a chance to go to a Benihana (there is one in orlando) that's a little better.

Kwanda is good, yes. But ever since last fall when they were on the ABC news dirty dining report for fecal matter in the food, and a dirty diaper on the cutting board/grill hood....I'll pass.

Went to PF Changs....definetly not worth all the hype. Far from the best chinese restraunt in Tampa. Had the lettuce wraps (after seeing the recommendations in this forum) and YUCK, not sure what some of you find "good" about raw ice berg lettuce and chicken giblets. It was so bad we sent it back in exchange for the calamari which was a little better. And the music, you'd expect asian music in an asian restraunt...not current pop music. Didn't see a single asian person working there either. Those of you who think this place is the shit seriously need to check out some other chinese places. Overall, I doubt I'll ever go back.

$7 all you can eat lunch with a sushi bar. Crazy Buffet ain't got nothing on this. The craziest part is the place looks really upscale. I walked in and thought this place looks expensive as all hell, but spent $7 and ate forever.
**edit** after reading about the violations I'm kinda second guessing the place.

Is that the Thai sushi joint next to the Holiday in? If it is great food and cute waitresses. Moderately priced. 5 people came to $78 with 3 eating only sushi. I recommend the Spicey Crunchy Tuna roll. Damn good!
Has anyone been to Wasabi Japnese Steakhouse on BBD in New Tampa? Thinking about going.

I like Hooks and Cafet Tsunami. You get to know your chef on a name to name basis. And I got to name a new roll at Cafe Tsunami. I call it the Nebraska roll. Has about 4 separate layers of flavor with some tastey spice to it including fresh squeezed lemon and lime.

I am a buffet guy and all I keep hearing about is Crazy Buffet. I am yet to hit it up, but I have been to The Super Buffet in Seminole and that is very good for $12. They have tons of Sushi and a nice selection.
Me and my girlfriend eat at this little Viet/Thai/Cambodian restaurant off Park Blvd. across from Home Depot. And the Philipino restaurant on 66th Street called Reginas is pretty good.
Is Crazy Buffet worth it?

I'm not a crazy buffet fan only because I'm a military brat and I've had really good food at some really small restaraunts where the only person there that spoke English was a 10yr old girl.
Crazy Buffet is about $12, but to me it's an average buffet with average sushi. But that's me. It gets rave reviews from others, but it's too Americanized for me. If that makes any sense...

Tally: Teriyaki San's
some REALLY good quick-serve japanese hibachi style cooking. for here or to go. there is a pre-Tallyimports.com meet there every thursday night, around 9pm. dont get the steak, its a bit tough. chicken is the best choice, or shrimp.
+1 for Arigato's
still need to go to Kobe's cuz i hear its better.
