what the title says, looking for some good bars in downtown st. pete...i know of dan marino's, martini bar, rare olive...any others? Looking for a nice laid back chill type of place. thanks :)

The Garden isn't bad.. they have live jazz bands most of the time. There's quite a few on Central Ave west of 2nd st.

Yeah i was trying to tell my friends that we could just walk around and find cool places..but they wanted concrete names of places blah. My boss told me about the garden too...sounds nice. He said it might be a bit to the upscale side so might have to get a little dressier.

The Garden is laid back and jazzy. You might want to also try the Independent, it's a hangout with lots of international beers and wines. If you're hungry in that neck of the woods you should grab a slice or three of pizza over at Joey Brooklyn's. That place is probably the BEST pizza I've had in Florida, next to Delosa's out on Johns Pass.

I like the Garden, the rare olive is pretty decent as well.

The garden seems to be a favorite of everyone so i'll def have to try that. I was also told to make reservations if i want to eat out in the patio under the tree, perhaps i'll do that for next weekend. Maybe a downtown st. pete shenanigans sometime? haha

went to martini bar during the 4th of july and the drinks were good. the live music gave it a nice atmosphere

The Garden, and make sure to go upstairs and checkout The Lobby.
Also look into Cafe Alma, or even Midtown Sundries. Good spots. some play jazz, some techno, some are dark, others are bright with pool tables.

go to mastrys... its nothing special but its always a good time and there are tons of people to watch... i love going there.. its just a little whole in the wall bar but its always paccked
