I mean honestly. When you ask someone to back you up, they lone wolf off and run out and die, hence making you die when trying to protect a flag against 3 tanks. WTF is wrong with these morons!?

1942 was the exact same way on public servers.

You have to think when youre playing with 30-63 other players, how many of them are going to be good?

Counterstrikes good player ratio usually was terrible too, and that had nowhere near as many players, and was far, far older.

It's also one of the reasons BF1942 got completely boring after a month or two.

Either; noone knows what the fuck to do with anything
2; People sit around waiting to get aircraft, and if someone gets it instead of them, they rocket it till it blows up or is just useless..

Try and find a squad.. makes those games a fuckload more fun.

My boss and I play. Im a newb and I own most people at the game. CS was one of those games that everyone on your team could suck, and you could still win.

I don't know how BF2 is.. But BF1942.. the maps were so utterly one sided that you pretty much knew who would win from the get-go, and if they DIDN'T win, it was one of those rare games that was fun-as-fuck and had skilled players.

I miss the Normandy Beach map and the few games where the Nazi completely overtook us and were driving tanks through the city.

this is very true. i was on a server last night and was in first place on our side 2 games and second the third game. wtf, i was on the ground the whole time.
our commander sucked. we had sniper's picking people off and no one tried to find them.

so far i've been on a few good teams. but as time has gone by the clans are just slaughtering every one with good team play.

like last night. two choppers, a jet non stop bombing us and the commander non stop shelling of the bace i was at. then 2 tanks and a few AA come in. the comander drops supplys. lost flag.

i guess i pissed them off. they were trying to take the flag for a while but couldn't.

I've become real good at piloting jets... I anal raped this dude in a dogfight, it was great.

I love when you can get someone that can pilot helis good too... cause I'm a marksmen w/ the onboard weapons.

At LM (usually late night, after the doors are closed), the staff and a few select customers stay and get serious about BF2 for a while. We have one 6-man hit squad that usually runs around in the BlackHawk capping points and more often than not, one of our guys is the Commander so we can ask person-to-person for supply drops/artillery/etc. It's a shitload more fun with teamwork.
