I don't know to much about st.pete but lets everyone post up some good places(you think) to get sushi.

I have a few.

MATOI SUSHI
602 N DALE MABRY HWY, TAMPA, FL 33609
Phone: (813) 871-3233
Get the volcano there. They don't have it on the menu but if you ask for it they should make it. I have been going there for years.

Here is another place I just found the other day. Try the fried shrimp roll. Its cooked so most people that don't eat sushi(because they are dumb) will like it because its cooked.
SUSHI TSU
15317 AMBERLY DRIVE, TAMPA, FL 33647
Phone: (813) 910-9404

Kinjo's across from Tyrone square mall. Some off the best quality and the owner(Kinjo) is a great guy. He takes great care of his customers and pride in his food.

Yeah, my FAVORITE :nworthy: place is Kabuki on 60 in Brandon...I have been to sushi places all over Tampa, Clearwater, Brandon...and Young's (the owner and chef) the best! HE is SUPER :bounce: nice and makes a huge variety of rolls...his brother owns Sushi Tsu's...and another brother owns another sushi place in Apollo beach..check him out and tell him I sent you! (not my screen name, of course)

There are only 2 places that have rocked my world when it comes to sushi.

#1 Samurai Blue @ Centro Ybor

#2 Sushi Rock in 9th St Saint Petersburg

I used to be a regular of #2 when I lived near there. It was more of like a tradition.

Sushi Tsu is one of my fav's.

...for all of the Pinellas People, there's an EXCELLENT sushi bar behind the Lucky Dill on Crystal Beach in the plaza w/ the CVS, etc. I cannot remember the name, but it's never TOO busy and it's my favorite.

I'm so down for that, always looking for new sushi places around tampa. The ones i know of...Young's sushi in south pasadena..super nice guy and they have a large selection and variety. Then there is Kiku on clearwater beach...that place kicks ass too. And last but not least my favorite that is close to home is Sushi Ren..its in palm harbor in the lake st. george plaza. joto's is always good too but i just like the ambiance of the smaller places.

Sushi Fune on Starkey and Brian Dairy (little boats in a river running around the bar and everything LOL)

Shiki Sushi on McMullen Booth

JOTO = way too expensive for not so good sushi IMHO

Kiku in the Icot center (it is a teppanaki grill too)
