that's why i try not to eat when i drink. i absolutely HATE those late nights where i end up eating something at 4 in the morning. but give up drinking? life wouldn't be worth living.

That article is weak, why does it not explain that adding ephedra to any drink will shed the lbs away? It's been proven to work 60% of the time, every time.

Being that my uncle is a doctor and he said that this is something that DOES affect weight loss...

Do you have proof of your statements? Like some links backing the info?

Honestly, do you add ephedra to every drink you consume? Even with the evidence against ephedra regarding health concerns?

Yes, I always get weird looks at bars b/c I bust out some ephedra and drop it in my drink. I've been asked if I am putting some date rape drug in them and then I point out that the drink is mine.

No proof whatsoever about my statement...

As far as your uncle being a Doc... I take all kinds of meds that say "Do not take with alcohol" Do I pay attention to the warning? Hell NO!

I bought some of the new low-carb Bacardi flavored rum. Not too bad. Mixed it with some tonic water (no caloires). But like the article says, it's not just about the calories in alcohol. It's just something I'm not ready to give up yet.

ephedra works, but when you get a heart attack from the increased cardio activity I think your last worry will be fat loss.

If anything caffeine is a safer alternative... and its still not good for you.

Not really, if you go somewhere and buy a vasodilator (they come in pill form) they contain ephedra.

The ban was also lifted not too long ago ;)

I hardly ever drink anymore :( Maybe one or 2 beers a month. I dont drink as much as I need to :D

The only thing i'm seeing about the ephedra ban being lifted is something about Utah and it has to be less than 10mg's per day.

I actually dont have one. I heard or read about it and know someone locally that can get it. I think it was lifted because just like anything, if you miss use it, it can hurt you. Ill see if I can dig some more.

On April 14th 2005 a Utah state court judge declared the current FDA control of Ephedra (Ma Huang) as a drug is wrong.

The FDA has a limited amount of days in which to file an appeal to the ruling. If the appeal is filed, and granted, the FDA could propose a restriction and/or limitation on the sale of Ephedra.

One thing for sure, the FDA will not be able to write there own restrictions, as done before. They would have to present a proposal that would then be voted on through the house and senate

It allows the company to resume selling its whole herb ephedra product with less than 10 mg of naturally occuring ephedrine alkaloids per daily dose.

actually, they all say about the same thing. I guess 10mg isnt alot? Ive never taken the stuff so I dont know much about it. Some is better than none, right :D

I'm not really sure, all i know is i can't find any thermogenics that have epehdra in them, which leads me to believe they would need to put more than 10mg in them.

Im sure the reason they havent started yet is because they dont know whats going to happen with the FDA. All these companies dont want to come back out with the Ephedra stuff and then the FDA make the ban permenant. Then, the companies are stuck with the stock they cant sell..... again. Theres some thermos on the first link for sale.
