Does any one here get the "bone"?

Defenition of "bone"; a sharp, really painfull feeling in your forearm when doing curls. Feels like it is really deep and between the ulna and radial bones.

I used too. It only happened when I did straight bar. Try sticking to dumbells for awhile and then reincorporate barbells into your workout. That and take a shitload of glutamine, helps for some reason.

i only get this when I use the bar or if I worked out my forearms really hard the day before or recently. I hate the bone, it ruins your work out. (or any pain/strain for that matter) Not finishing a full workout depresses me

Interesting... I have this problem. I didnt know what it was though. It feels like a shin splint, but in your forearm.... It hurts like hell when holding weight, but I just suck it up and take the pain. It hurt bad when I did 240 stiff legged deadlifts this morning :(

What exactly causes the pain?

one thign you can do to cancel out the foearm alittle more is curl your wrist back when curling, most ppl don't catch themselfs when lifting they roll the bar up alittle with the forarms.

I've never paid attention to how I hold my wrist when doing barbell curls. My next arm workout is Friday, Ill try it and let you know.... if it worked I'll buy you a Mic Ultra!

It worked, I kept my wrists slightly curled when doing my reps and did not feel it. I owe you a Mic!

It's the strangest thing......I started getting that pain a couple days ago and had no idea what it was......and would describe it exactly like Country Boy did.....basically shin splints in my forearms.

It's not excruciating or anything.......tomorrow is my off-day so I'm expecting to feel better on Thursday. But it is just annoying right now. Hopefully it won't get worse. I'll try to bend my wrists a little more while curling.

It can get worst, but 99% of the time it dissapears and youll probably never get them again unless you go to massive amounts of weight.

Try curling your wrist up alittle, not through the motion though (remember you still want your bicep doing the work). Also, stay away from bars for alittle, let your arm rest from that kind of strain. You wont feel it with dumbell curls and they are just as effective IMO.

i get a feeling like that in my wrists when doing nosebreakers but not with curling, I went to dumbbells and away from the bar and my wrist's do not hurt anymore

seriously just try dumbells holy crap haha. I had the same problem. The dumbells after awhile will help build up your tolerance to it so after awhile it never pops up again.

LOL just dont go around the gym saying youve got "a bone and it hurts" LOL.

Yea, it does hurt, but since Ive done dumbells I havent had it come back. I do bar exercises also now and I have no problems.

If you think the bone hurts doing curls try doing skull crushers.... I hurt just thinking about it...

LOL.... yes please do not refer to it as "The Bone" that is a term Moldy and I made up back in the day... although it should be added as a new medical term.

And no Dune, I will not simply do dbs (which I already do on top of barbell curls)! I will show The Bone who the boss is around here, it's personal now

I do skull crushers twice a week, I LOVE THEM!
