When youre cutting, how do you work the weights? Are you supposed to switch up and instead of doing the mass building "more than 4 less than 8" to light weight high reps? I was curious about this since your calorie intake is severly cut and it would seem to be a waste of time to try to build new muscle.

light weight high reps.. thats what im told.. ..

correct me if im wrong.. but your not trying to build new muscle.. so the carb intake wouldnt matter as much.. you are just trying to cut what you already have

well light weight to a point you still need to stress the muscle or they will athropy(decrease in size). let use 80;b dumbell on flat bench for 6reps(that's where you fail) lighten the load up to maybe 60-65 for 10-12(you have one or two more in yeah not failure), i think most people make the mistake and go to light and to high on reps ie grabbing 30-45lbs and doing 15 reps when you can do 80 lbs that only 55% of the weight. so i'd say lighten it by 25-35% and add 2-4 reps

basically keep the reps above 8. Optimal pyramid for really cutting the fat would be to start with 14, then 12, 10, 8 and then shock your muscles with a max. Keep switching it up, sometimes go up to 16, sometimes start at 12.

Also, your going to want to do alot of "minor" muscle groups. Start doing your fast twitch muscles (fast reps, little recoop time between sets), and throw some negatives in. If you want to stay around the same size, minus maybe an inch on the arms (its usually fat anyhow) drop you caloric intake to about 2500-2000 calories. Thats about what I take.

When you drink protein shakes, use silk or cold water. Its nasty but has very few calories and when you drink a liter of water you burn almost 100 calories (body has to use energy to warm it).

Like it or not, youll have to do cardio. Keep up informed and good luck man.

different routines for different people. Thats how I cut and ive lost 20lbs fat in two months, gained 1 inch on my arm (stretch marks to prove it). And I am alot more toned.
