I am trying to get back into the swing of things after approx 1-year without regular gym attendance. I feel/look like shit...which I know is from not working out. But I don't workout because I feel like shit after getting my ass kicked for 8-10 hours a day at work. Wonderful cycle, eh?

Anyways, I use to pop something with Ephedrine in it for the pre-workout jitters. Since it is no longer on the market (and slow to get back into the market), I must seek other means. What are you all using to perk up?

Why pops something to gain energy? Load up on carbs 45-1hour before workout , eat some fruits along with that and you should have an excellent workout..Plenty of energy..
Most people think they need to take all these things. Diet is #1 thing those type of people need to change.

I now take NO-Xplode and it works good. I used to take Superpump 250 and it worked AWSOME when taking 3 scoops, but it would give me some serious ass faucet... couldnt deal with it anymore after over a week straight.

I found that i feel best if I eat a peanut butter and honey (all natural) sandwich on whole grain bread an hour before I go.

I would stay away from the ephedra...change the diet and get back into the swing of things

seriously, maybe a little sumpin' sumpin' to wake you up, but even when i'm fucking exhausted from a long day at work, as soon as i start into my first exercise, i get a rush of energy. just pick your ass up and get to a gym, your body will do the rest.

Agreed, the past two days I felt tired when at work and as I was doing my 5min on the bike to warm up. As soon as I hit the weights I got a rush of energy, good times!

I find a few lines of cocaine do the trick just fine, no need for any whoo haas and gizoms.

That and I lose MAD weight... Shit man I see my ribs more than my abs. Women love a man whose nose bleeds from the crazy stuff (unfortuanatley theyll only love you for a prearranged price...)

I always go to the gym before work, so i don't really have much to offer. Honestly, i think motivation is more what you need. Just keep looking at yourself in the mirror, that's what does it for me, lol.

All good advice. Mostly diet and motivation, but thats the hard stuff. So if you cant muster that, theres always liquid crack.

Sometimes ill drink "Extreme Shock" 15-20 mins before i go. Caffiene spike thatll make your ears tingle. I only drink half a bottle at a time, but i always make it there.

*but id only recommend that it you have an otherwise low caffeine diet.

Red Panax Ginseng Extractum. All natural from ginseng roots, I found shit like Ripped Fuel, Stacker, and Thermoburst all made me drag towards the end of my workout. The ginseng has never done that but I only use it when I dont get a good meal in before a workout or dont take my NO2. I found that NO2 has increased my performance and energy incredibly too, although it could just be a mental thing, but fuck it, still works.

I tried the NO2 a couple years ago. Got a great pump & decent amount of energy. The only problem was the $70 price tag for a one-month cycle. It was good, but not $70 good.

Thanks for the info everyone. I may try the ginseng route. Back when I worked at GNC we use to suck those little vials of ginseng down on a regular basis. Great energy but tasted like shit.

I agree with eating about 45min to an hr before you workout...something little with protein and carbs...and warming up... it gives you a little time to wake your body up and prepare it for a workout

If your going to run after a workout do not eat. I made the mistake of eating a 12 inch sub before I worked out (back day followed by cardio) and almost threw up in my mouth running... Not too mention the horrible cramps when I did lat pulldown and bent over rows.... GOD DAMN THAT SUCKED!

If you want to wake up go run for 10-15 minutes, nothing crazy just until you feel your pulse go up a decent amount (should be about 120bps if you take it easy). I do that when Im dead ass tired and afterwards Im all crazy in the gym. And of course prep yourself mentally. Just envision that perfect body you want and tell yourself the only way you can attain that body is too bust your ass no matter what. I do that every time Im tired and I rarely if ever voluntarily miss a workout.

before i go swimming i usually eat a protein bar since i don't really eat breads or meat. i'm not sure if it helps but i swim a mile everyday so i figure anything is better than nothing. i bounce back and forth between Balance, PowerBar and Zone Perfect.
