Do you think its annoying when your working out alone or with a partner and someone asks if they can "jump in"? Then they re-arrange your weights and the way you had the seat positioned etc...
Do you ever ask to "jump in"?

Ive had people jump in, it doesnt bother me at all except when they leave their weight on. They could at least put it back the way I had it. I dont jump in on people. I just move to another thing and come back to it.

I'm not going to fight someone that asks to jump in or anything, but I don't do it.

People don't do it to me. But, if they did, i'd get annoyed.

I do it. but i guess its kinda different. Im usually at the gym around 730-8pm and the same people are there everyday (mostly to avoid the skinny doushbags who comes between 4 and 7) so we all pretty much know each other. I dont mind if people work in with me for a couple sets and I have no shame on asking someone.

If the gym is busy I have no problems. Usually I have some cool guys come up to me when im on the bench or something and they do about the same weight, so its all good. However, when they take my spot without asking and refuse to move, THEN I get really pissed off and the yuppies that go to lifestyles do that ALOT. For some reason they prefer to do it when I have to do barbell shrugs.

i never ask to jump in bc i think its kinda annoying so if someones on something i need to use i go on to something else till they're done. if someone ask me if they can jump in with me though, im not going to say no. if they dont do alot of rearranging its not too bad, but if they do its a pain in the ass. i workout at night so i usually dont have a problem but sometimes i have to share the cable cross over.

Its the same with us in the mornings. Theres not very many people in there and we all practically know eachother. Hell, I'll jumpped over and spot some people when they look like they are having a hard time.

I have a specific routine that I won't deviate from. I will ask how many sets they have and if it is going to take to long then I ask to jump in. I remember their settings and I will put it back to that when I'm done.

Depends, if the gym is busy then no big deal. If it is not it would be annoying b/c they can do another excer in their routine.

I really find it funny when this guy I work with "jumps in" with bench..... I work in pyramid from 135-175 and back down... he works out with upto 275, looks funny when we are changing out the plates... hahahaha..

Im not the type to ask to jump in. I got enough patience to just wait for the machine. But Im not gonna turn someone down whos in a rush and feels the need to jump in, as long as they leave it like it was when they got there.

Well with the whole wating thing, I dont do much cardio. So when i workout, i keep my internsity up to build a steady heart rate, which in essence is a form of cardiovascular exersize. So when someone is on the machine/bench i need and there arent any others available, I will ask to work in a set with them. Ive never been told no before, although im sure ive pissed a few people off.
