How many of you have a subscription to MSDN? What level do you have? I haven't gotten one yet, but I'm pricing them out. As expected, they are rediculously expensive. What are your thoughts on the MSDN sub's? Have you renewed before, and how much bennefit have you gotten from being a subscriber?

I have an MSDN AA (Academic Alliance) Through my school, its basically like the normal MSDN but we got like 100 Keys for Each product. That and i didn't have to pay anything. It's nice they have ide say 95% of all of their OS's rdy for download, including BETA's for upcoming one's. Its worth it for me because i didnt have to pay anything. I was thinking about getting it for myself and getting the lower one, i think its like 5 / 10 keys each and 100~200 a yera to renew, which i would pay. Thats not really alot of money.

Also with the MSDN keys you can only activate them once online, after that you have to call it in to get a new install id.

whats MSDN?

Microsoft Developers Network, is a yearly subscription, you receive access to allot of OS's and other stuff (Office Excluded)

Zate: When you sign up your intent is suppose to be to use the software to develope applications in house. Its not practical for home use. The cheapest one with any OS's is Pro and thats 699 starting.. But it was free for me so im using it.

I just do the partners action pack program, like 250 a year and I get all the OS, office, etc, and keys vary on product but typically you get 10 keys for each.
