for me it would have to be the chimaira/machine head tour that rolled through orlando a while back... i'd never seen either band live before, and machine head puts on a great fucking show (which should be expected since they've been around since 1946), and chimaira... well, they're just plain super.

I really enjoyed the Pixies this past year at the Sun-dome. Also when I was Mindless Self Indulgence in Montreal, that was a good show as well.

At the old Frankies patio (i think, bc it was indoor which makes me think im wrong), there was an "underground wu tang" concert. tickets were cheap, unadvertised, and only a couple hundred people there TOPS.

first group out was killa army, and me and my buddy were thinking, well no WONDER. its gonna be this crap. dammit. then one by one they started coming out blowing the doors off the place. meth was like the last guy, my fav at the time, sitting on a speaker doin his thing like 10 ft from where we were. half way through "da rockwilder" theres a boom and redman comes from the smoke to finish with his verse too.

RZA hit a blunt from the crowd. Experience wise, that was probably the greatest show ive ever seen. i was like 17.

Back in 90 or 91 I saw Naughty by Nature, Queen Latifah, MC Lyte, Tim Dog, Son of Bezerk, Ghetto Boys, and Public Enemy. My friend and I were 17 and the only white kids in the crowd, but we had the best time. Everyone keep passing us blunts.

Nine Inch Nails and A Perfect Circle in Lakeland back in 2000.

Also Dredg, Taproot, and Mudvayne at the Masquerade gets a mention.

i went to a Warped Tour in jax when i went to UF. We spiked thirstbusters with liquor and showed up trashed. Wandering around a place that big, drunk, seeing so many cool bands perform was awesome. I also saw some kid get beat the fuck down.

The type of music i listen to would have me trampeled at concerts.

However, Pop Disaster Tour on May 14, 2002 was an amazing concert. It was Blink 182, green day and jimmy eat world but my friends and i only went because we wanted to see Green Day.<33

in april i went to 98rock's bfd ("big fucking deal"). the exxies, breaking benjamin, papa roach and three doors down are four of my favorite bands anyway, but papa roach specifically was incredible.

I have to say that U2 at MSG would have been a great show... I saw them in 87 at the carrier dome in upstate NY and again in Miami in 97 or 98... I can't remember the year.

hmm...tough choice, been to a shitload of shows. Ozzfest in Tampa last year was good, Ministry put on a badass show when they played Masquerade 2 years ago; Skinny Puppy was awesome, one of the jager tours that rolled through had Hatebreed opening up for Slayer... fuckin sick. All of the death metal shows I check out never end up sour. The first Art of Noise tour was insane... Napalm Death, Strapping Young Lad, Nile, Dark Tranquility and someone else I can't remember.

Best show that I've been to so far was Walls of Jericho, Bury Your Dead, Full Blown Chaos and two other local bands.

There had never been so much more energy at one single show. It was at the Orpheum and for people who have been there, there are these rafters type things above the stage. People were climbing up the speakers and crawling along these rafters and stage diving into the crowd. The bands were beyond amazing and it was an overall fantastic show.

Coldplay at Hardrock in Orlando - 2002

or

Converge at the Palace in Gainesville (i think) - 2002. They were the head lining act at Gainesville Fest all the other bands were great, but Converge stole the show. I can't even begin to explain the madness that went on, but if you were there you know what I am talking about.

The Tabernacle was an old theatre as well. It has 3 stories with an open pit. THe Bar is in the back facing the stage. I will have to check out the Norva
