"Batman Begins" - excellent -
Christopher Nolan does an excellent job in one of the most impressive prequels that I have ever seen. I loved the first Batman film by Tim Burton, but I think they all went downhill from there. Until now....
Batman Begins is way different. I found myself thinking during the film "Man this is wicked cool!" I left the theatre happy that the film was so much better than I expected it to be.
Nolan impressed by making the story almost entirely conceivable, and disturbingly scary to the point that some of the images might frighten younger children. If you have not seen it yet I recommend still trying to catch it in one of the theatres
Also saw:
"The Island" - Mixed bag - I am not sure how many more movies can do the boring clone thing, but Michael Bay does a fun job with his slow motion enhanced destructive chase & action scenes (aka Bad Boys), and of course Scarlett....
"Fantastic Four" - Corny - OK if you want to laugh a little, but check your brain at the door.
"War of the Worlds" - Thought it would be better. As always with Spielberg the CGI merges well with the live action.
