I left Tampa in 2001, starting my tour in the U.S. Army. I was stationed in Germany and served a 16 month tour in Iraq. After I was released from the Army (1JUN for those who care), I came back home to Tampa (I was born and raised here). Well, much to my dismay, traffic is absolutely out of freakin' control. I used to be able to shoot down Dale Mabry at about 55 MPH, now... I'm lucky if I hit 30. Same goes for all the main roads, BBD, Fletcher, Fowler..what the hell is going on here? I know, it's all these damn snow birds leaving the sorry ass northern states and coming to learn how to live the good life. Just my humble opinion.
You all are welcome down here...but this ain't the north. We do things a little differently down here.
