shot my 1st event with the new XT in chicago this weekend, but i didnt realize til almost the end of the event that my white balance was set wrong, can this be corrected in photoshop?

Only way to properly fix it is if you shot in RAW format. If you shot in jpeg, all you can do is try to use ps to edit the picture as best as possible.

If you need to use Photoshop color correction to fix:
This photo can begin to turn back around with 2 Photoshop steps.
Open Levels - select the neutral eyedropper in the center and hit the pavement.
this will still leave some heavy magenta/blues next to the highlights.
an easy way to fix those is to use hue/saturation - select the magenta or blues dropdown then use the eydropper to hit the color you want to remove. Use the + and (-) eyedroppers to widen or shrink the desired range, then drag your saturation slider way to the left (like -60).

Best methodology if you have enough CF cards, just shoot raw and be done with it.

yea, thats the problem, i didnt, i was limited to 2.2 gigs for the weekend, which is why most of the pics were shot in medium/fine setting.
