books..where to get them. used new or rented?

I need books for my classes this semester for hcc but I was not sure where to go and what to do. What is the best bet, used books? or rent them? what is cheaper really?

online would be cheapest. Sign up for classes as early as possible, find out what books you need (author/version/yr published) and go online for the book. Saves hundreds each semester.

There is a used book store right down the street from the Dale Mabry HCC campus. They sell books cheaper and buy books for more than the HCC book store. I can't think of the name, but its on Lois, near MLK Blvd.

yeah my sister got a flyer thing for that book store (she is 15, dont ask me) but I thought about going there. but i went by the schools book store today to check it out and I noticed that some teachers require like an extra work book and stuff.. with other book stores off campus know about those books?

They must get the info from the school or something. They know if the books change for a class so they always have just what you need.

Get them from Amazon.com.....you can buy used ones, and save a lot of money. It's even cheaper than buying used ones from the bookstore. I used to get my books for school this way all the time, and usually saved $100-200.
