"BBC News story regarding digital camera sales: 'High Street retailer Dixons, which started by selling 35mm cameras, is to stop stocking the items because of the popularity of digital cameras.' Digital cameras will out-sell 35mm cameras in the UK by a ratio of 15:1 this year."

Yep. Kids will soon have no recollection of what a film 35mm was. Of course Medium format film cameras and above will be with us for a long time yet. On the down side, soon all people will know are how to use their damn cell phone cameras.

I give medium format another 2 years before we see film versions start to become less and less. Price is above most ppls budgets, but I think I read Mamiyma or Hasselbald is releasing a 22mp Medium for a rather decent price.
