I mean this from a stand point of going back to school after not going for 6 years.
Would it be better for me to take some commuity college to work back into the swing of things?

Community colleges have the same classes (for the first to years) as universitys. If your going back for a bachelors (sp?) then I would just do 2 years at hcc then transfer over to usf or whichever one you wanna go to. Thats what I am doing

Do you already know what you want to go back to school for?
Community college is affordable and like said before, a good way to get back into it. After highschool, I just worked full time for 4-5 years then decided to get into college here at IADT. Can't say it was a dumb move, but its killing me finacially.

Community college is definately the cheapest route. Jumping into a University might feel too overwhelming. If you want to ease in to it, try taking only 1-2 classes at first.

Community college rocks. It's cheaper, easier, the classes are smaller and the professors actually help you and care... (well most of them anyway). I have taken classes at USF and I personally think that for the first two years, when you are taking all you General Education classes, that a university is a waste of time and money.

definately do community college.
if you jump right into a university, you'll be sickened with how shiesty and two-faced most professors are.

Agreed. I made that mistake my first couple of semesters at IADT. All of my classes are $1200+/class. That price for GenEds = :thumbdwn: :thumbdwn:

I've been farting around for 7 years now and am finally trying to get my ass in gear. It is weird being around 18 year olds when you're 24/25. I'm at HCC, trying to get my AA to get back into USF (where I started).
Personally, I would hit up your AA at HCC (fresh and soph classes are much easier at HCC than USF) and then go to USF for your four-year degree.

Well the school I was planning on attending if I can afford it and they accept me would be Ringling. My CC class credits wont carry over I believe, but its not a big deal, it will look good on my portfolio for them, and it will get back into the swing of things I guess.
