half way into it I thought I was gonna wreck,
it got so bad, and while waiting in traffic I
noticed it was a flipped over car that
was holding up the line. I decided to
take as many back routes home.

:werd:
few weeks ago I had a lightening bolt hit a pole from at least 100 feet away while i was sitting in traffic. never knew they were so bright up at close that they blind you. needless to say it knocked out the power to the traffic control device, forogt what it is called, and people don't know how to do four way stops.

What is with the weather as of late, this afternoon squals are getting more and more intense. Last Friday I was having lunch over at Jasons Deli near USF when a rogue storm rolled in, complete with palm tree bending force winds and quarter sized hail. Storms certainly seem more intense than in previous years.

"day after tomorrow" perhaps?
thats creepy and cool at the same time. i usually sit out on the back patio to watch that, we have a great view of tampa bay and the sky over macdill and gandy.

The weather has been really mellow for the past ~5 years. Before that we'd get nasty weather in the late afternoon, just like clockwork, everyday. I suppose we're getting back into the "normal" weather routine now.

No, I've lived here for 24 years and I can safely say that the intensity of storms has increased proportionately to the heat. Certainly, much hotter today than it was in the 80's. Thankyou global warming coupled with deforestation and urban/suburban development of central Florida for jacking the heat up.

It all supports my theory that the world is ending. It's not a Chicken Little thing, but all this terrible weather, increasingly terrible and larger hurricanes, Bush in office for a second term....hehehe

Id have to agree the weather has gotten worse lately, it seemed like years ago I had seen awe lightning storms that were frightening. For some reason I do seem to notice the storms are worse out in the boonies then they are around tampa. I think theres some wierd grounding effect with all the buildings
The sky is falling? :dunno:
