I thought about putting this in the college life section but thought it would be better out here because more people who have actually attended and graduated from college would see it, as opposed to a bunch of people asking questions about college.

I was just wondering what are some good (read: good money to be made) fields. I really have no direction on what I want to do after graduating from college. I was an editor on the HS newspaper, won state awards, I'm on some st. pete times recruit list, yadda yadda. I've had several people suggest writing for a major auto or surfing publication (my two passions) but I don't know if the money's there....probably not for surfing that's for sure. But the idea of writing for a road and track or autoweek, etc. sounds very enticing. Fly to Italy and test drive the latest Ferrari supercar? Get paid to go and cover F1 races all over the world? Who could complain. I bet they get paid a good amount also. But that is only one option. Any suggestions?

Matt

my advice would be to major in what you're good at (journalism), and then once you're qualified and educated on top of talented, you'll be in a better position to find a job that will bring in the money you want.

Do what you enjoy, work really hard. The money will come years after.

If you want a really rewarding major, major in engineering, it is the best thing I have ever done. As an engineer, you are able to get pretty much any job you apply for, short of the very specialized fields...and the money to match!

stay away form the pink and blue side of campus ;)
