Thanks to a transcript error, I dont have to take a foreign language.

For the sake of understanding others, I'd like to take german or spanish... probably spanish.

Has anyone had the idea to learn it outside school, then take it and ace the class? Im not talking kids that grew up in multi-lingual houses, but people like me that know how to say 'where is the nude beach' in spanish, and thats it.

Iwas thinking about doing German when it comes out on the Ebooks (the little mp3 books) and learning that way. Would be nice to have a 2nd Language.

I took time a few years back to learn french a few years ago, that was because I was living right on the border of NY and Canada. Since I moved from there I gave that dream up.

I think it's stupid how they force you to take a foreign language when you speak the language of your country, thus the reason I will be taking sign language.

I hate how we are forced to learn about the history of the world, we live in America, we should only learn American History.

Missed my point totally. I speak the language of this country, also speak french the most spoken language of those where I grew up. Learning history is totally different than forcing a student to learn another language.I didn't do it in High School and surely will not do it in college. I actually enjoyed world history both times I took it. LOL. I think more people should learn English.
