In Tampa (on North Dale Mabry), not St. Pete, but worth the drive is Jasmine Thai.

Benjorang Thai on Dale Mabr (north) across the street from kobes, next door to the starbucks.

This is by far the best thai resteraunt in tampa. 8 dollars for a HUGE meal with all the rice you like. Its also family owned+operated.

Jasmine thai sucks compared to this, trust me.

What exactly does a Thai menu consist of? Always wanted to try it. My close friends are Vietnamese so I've had my share of authentic asian food. Just not a fan of seafood. So whats a good Thai dish to order that has steak or chicken preferrably?

umm lots of cocunut milk, curry, nuts and lemon grass. Not too sweet and VERY spicy dishes (some have little spice so no worries). Really its similiar to vietnamese food but not as exotic or strange (ive seen some vietnamese places that serve tongue and all that good stuff).

Ban Thai in Carrolwood(across from Ben Hill Jr High). I have been to just about every thai place in Tampa/Miami/Ft Lauderdale/ The Entire state of RI ( both square. miles). Ban Thai has the best green chicken curry in the entire universe.

What exactly is curry?
kinda spicy, yellowish glowing spice.
used mostly in thai food, and some jamaican foods.
not really my favorite thing, i prefer garlic, and red pepper.
