I have this laptop that i got from my mom she said it wont turn on or anything i pluged it into charger it does say that it is charging but when i go to hit the power button it wont charge does anyone know anything about laptops that will look at this thing for me...i wanna get it working again...just need to power it up to start with...soo if someone could look at this or tell me what they think is wrong let me know please!! Thanks guys!!

try taking out the battery and just plug in the laptop directly to the A/C adapter and see if you can get the laptop to turn on. If not then there's probably something wrong with your mobo. Send it back to the manufacturer if it's still under warranty and that's the case.

did it...didnt work i really dont think i can send it into manufacturer...dont think it is uner warranty anymore...soo any other ideas!!!

well someone with good computer technology..please step forward offer some help...or someone cheap i can take it to get fixed...that will actually fix it and not replace the hole thing...i know it works it just wont power on..

oh and btw, 90% of computer repair shops will NOT work on laptops.

common problem with dells and compaqs you have to replace the power supply or just the power supply inlet in most cases. 2 hours labor plus parts.

mine did that TWICE. SOny Viao. The first time the soldering came off the A/C plug in prohibiting the battery from charging. Fixed under warranty. The second time, I tried turning it on, no fans no nothing, sent it in, supposedly liquid damage to the mobo. Not covered under warranty, $1200 fix. Anyone want a Vaio laptop fr parts?
