on sat sept 10th there will be a benefit for local tattoo artist tommy laskas. a couple months ago tommy attempted to break up a fight at masquerades in ybor and died from injuries suffered.

previoulsy New World Brewery attempted a benefit but it was rained out. there will be a 2nd attempt at a benefit event this sat sept 10th, which will include many local bands.
the event starts at 4p and will continue until closing.
there will be a $10 cover, with proceeds to benefit the family in an attempt to help with bills and funeral costs. New World Brewery is 21 and up ONLY, as well they do not server liquor (but their beers range from the everyday bud to 11.5%+ belgian ales). included in the cost will be free BBQ.
parking is available at the west garage (8th ave) or there are also pay lots on either side of the building... garage and lots range from $5-$8 depending on which one you choose.
typical music style is towards the punk/metal sounds
some of the local bands are expected to include
eumenides (many members of which were personal friends of tommy)
