Any regulars?
We've been going real often, people are real cool there.
And it's easy to win, I go with one of my friend and we come home with on average $60 after being entertained for 2~3 hours.
For those that don't go there often, don't go to the food court to eat, there's a place by the pool, I think it's called the Green Room. It's VERY reasonablely priced and real good food. Menu prices seems to be a little on the high side when you look at it, but believe me, you get what you pay for. Compared to the $5 (or something like that) slice of pizza!

But since we're here. No I haven't gone, but would really like to. You will need to post up your next trip so I can tag along. A buddy of mine from the SO just won the "jackpot". Royal Flush and took home $19,700 before taxes.
They do the hold em' right?

IMO the Hard Rock sucks if you're playing limit. :|

Get back to me when you flop two pair and raise that massive 2 dollar limit and get beat out by some idiot who is hoping on his flush on the river and gets it because it cost him a whopping 4 dollars to see the hand play out. Your tune will change. The limit poker sucks. I only play the tourneys. -KEVIN-

PM me your contact info, we can go, it's fun.
Hard Rock rules, I don't go and play big money and don't intend too. I don't go with the hopes of winning, but I have been careful enough to come out on top.
Canary....hahahhaa, can't believe you remember that thread. Nah, no hookers lately.
What I do like about the Hard Rock and this might be true for other poker places, but there are A LOT of regulars. People that go there, A LOT, if not every night. Not matter what their profession, they go to have fun. And if you know how to socialize just a tad bit, these are cool people to have a good poker game with. No one goes there with their 'poker' faces and shit like that.
When we go, we change $40, but I am normally up before I see any serious loses, I play very conservetively, so that's why I do walk away with some money.
As for the Jackpot, that's just a dream, lol. Just a RULE OF THUMB, if you go and play, BRING your social seurity card with you. If you hit the jackpot, they tax you 25% (give you w2 on the spot) and if you don't have your SSC, then they tax you 27%.

i hit the jackpot as well, when it was a measly 4,500. But shit, I wasn't complaining. Taxes, pshhhh, who the hell pays those? You know you're allowed to write off "up to" you're total gambling winnings. ;)

I play the free NL tourneys on partypoker from time to time when I am bored. I don't care about that stuff because I can always guarantee atleast two people will go All-in the first hand and have absolutely nothing. IT doesn't cost me anything either way. I just do it when I am watching some TV or something. PS. Limit poker at the hard rock sucks.

It depends on how you look at limit poker games. If you don't like limited poker, there are always the tournaments there.
I tried playing party poker, but with the 'free' play, there is nothing involved, absolutly no satisfaction, since like you said, there's always someone that goes all in.
98MOD - SORRY, didn't get a chance to give you a call, we went there tonight on a last minute thing, but it was a good night. Was there for about an hour and a half and left with $110+my buy in ($40).
