Anyone catch the game? NY scored 5 runs in the 1st, 5 in the second and 7 in the sixth!! Hell of a game, better luck next time Tampa :p Anyone going to tomorrows or Thursdays? Hell of a way to start the series :D

How is this a "hell of a game" when it seems like NY is destroying the Devil rays with 10 runs in 2 innings...?

You know what I enjoy is when the lowest payroll team beats the highest payroll team 11 of 17 games.

Both NY and MA have struggled with TB this season but at the same time NY has had the highest scoring games against TB than any other team in the league, not to mention that TB is 24.5 games out... TB has a lot of potentional as a baseball team, but are not going to get anywhere playing in the devision they are in.. As for payroll look how long the Yankees have been established compared to the Devil Rays.. now take into consideration how much money Yankee Stadium brings in vs Tropicana.. it's all relivant..
The yankees are getting old, and with a very weak free agent market this winter, look for them to slip even more. TB only needs a couple pitchers to be very competitive. TB has the youngest, fastest team in the majors, and a stocked farm system. The only thing the yanks have to look forward to coming up is ticket prices, and payroll.
Oh, and we as Devil Rays must thank you Yankee people. Thanks to the luxury tax, TB is the most profitable team in MLB. Matter of fact, the yankees pay us so much that our payroll is practically paid for BY the yankees. This is what helped us develop such a rich farm system. Cheers to Steinbrenner!

Who was the crackhead who tried to steal a base at the end of the game last night? What a dumbass.

Go Yankees. I was at that game. Left at around the 6th or 7th inning. I wouldn't say it was a hell of a game. WE should do that to them every game. A-Rod's salary is almost as much as their whole team. It was kind of sad to hear the home team get cheered against. I was born in NY as well. Try again. Almost every Bostonj fan is a bandwagon fan though.
