really, it isn't about picking up women at all. most guys that can't do it always ask, "why can't i pick up women?". that's their first mistake. how many guys do you know, or how many of you out there stand around at a bar, watching a hottie, just trying to think of the right thing to say or the right time to say it?

this, IMO, is the BIGGEST problem there is. it's not about picking up a woman, it's about talking to her. my advice: just go the fuck up to the girl, no matter how many friends, no matter if you have nothing to say (it's actually better if you don't), and just fucking say, "Hi". that's it, then see what happens. once you do this enough, you'll become more comfortable and confident.

yes, women love confidence, but even if you come across as nervous, or if you have nothing to say and end up just looking at her and laughing, she might see that you had the balls to come up there and do so. and if she blows you off, at least you got further than standing across the room dreaming about fucking her. besides, once you've been turned down enough it won't bother you anymore (believe me, the biggest pimps - ask frank - have been turned down plenty of times, nobody bats 1000).

Yup, pretty much what we end up talking about each time we go out and have to watch people act pathetic at the bars....

People put way to much thought into what angle they are going to try and use or what lines to say or what game plan they need. Fuck all that, just go talk to them...if you can get them talking and interested that's half the battle right there.

Now, that being said there is some skill involved with dealing with their friends so you don't get cock blocked by her fat friend who is getting bored while you two chat it up...just pay her enough attention to keep her happy and silent or bring a friend who is at least willing to talk to the fat cow long enough for you to do what you need to do, that is if you can't get the girl alone from the beginning so you can flail around in private.

another thing - if you think that by going up to a girl and saying something witty, she'll be interested when she wouldn't normally be so, then you're wrong. if a girl is into you, then she's into you. if she's not, then she's not. nothing you say is going to change that fact for the positive. (note, there are plenty of things you can say that'll change it for the negative).

back when i was single, i was in shape, 5'10", 145lbs, 7% body fat, and repped 225lbs 10 times. i never really tried to pick up women, they would either start the conversation, send a friend to say whats up, or i would just go to a club and start dancing with random women and find one who liked me. i will admit, i was always afraid of being turned down, so i would never approach them just to talk, but i would approach women on the dance floor.

anyway, once me and the girl were talking, i could spit good game, i was like a salesman. and alot of time i was out with other people and they would strike up a convo with some women and i would start talking to one of their friends. some girls i've met at parties, some through friends, but most of them i met when they were grinding their ass on me in a club or they approached me.

and florida girls are easy as hell to pick up. i used to bring fellow marines down here with me on weekends and holidays and they would always hook up. but you cant do that around a military base, since there are so many men in the marines and not too many women, even the fat girls think they are "all that" because they could get ass from stupid marines that lowered their standards for ass. if you know a fat ugly chick, tell her to go to a military base, she'll be in heaven.

Yes, you’re absolutely right. But that’s when you’re already in a social context. When you meet a girl at a club or bar, you’re not going to be able to talk in that context.

Usually I just meet women through friends or on here. I do have to admit it was much easier to get women back in Arkansas. Seeing as how I was not related to any of them, made it all the sweeter.

well im shy when it comes to girls but most of the girls i have gotten with have gotten to know me and i know them.i really never walked up to a woman i dont know with "lines",most of the time when im out they come up to me.not tyring to sound like im all that im not ask my hairline:P but when im at a club most like the way i dance then ill ask them to dance and then one thing leads to another.i dont have any "lines" i just be myself an its works for me.

that's exactly what i was getting at (except the part where you're too shy to approach a girl). lines don't work 99% of the time. just talking to a girl does. now there are gimmicks, and tricks, and topics you hit on that can help, but approaching a girl with a line is a sure fire way to get shot down.
