but seriously, i didnt think they'd get off to this fast a start. A retooled Vikings team and completely ineffective Culpepper? Stomping the Bills and their #1 defense (last year)? Our first win in GB since 89? Cadillac off to the best start of any rookie RB in history? The return of the stiffling Bucs defense? No one predicted all of that.

We do have a very favorable schedule to look forward to. We should be 4-0 after this weekend's matchup with the Lions

i usually go to at least two games a year. but like john, i couldn't afford season tickets until i recently (i was a poor college student). do you know how many season ticket holders didn't show up to every game last year because they were sucking? but by your definition, they're true fans. :roll:

I've been to games, and I'd much rather sit on my couch with no underwear on watching on my 65" HDTV eating whatever I feel like cooking than being packed into an uncomfortable seat next to god knows who paying out the ass for food and drinks. I watch EVERY game (when my Bright House DVR decides to record them for me :( ) and I did so even last year, I consider myself a true fan.

no, but they were expensive. some people don't have money to spend $1000 on season tickets. remember, the bucs were one of the richest teams under culverhouse, though they were perenially sorry. i was in junior high when i became a bucs fan (the same time i became a real football fan). when i graduated from college in '02, there was already a waiting list for season tickets.

maybe you shouldn't make such generalizations. i bet there are bigger fans than you out there that can't afford season tickets.

I had season tickets and sold them off for this year because I was tired of paying $350 a weekend to go to the games. Instead I will pick two or so games in the cooler months and have more fun than sweating to death the first 4-5 games.

+1, I went to the home opener vs. the Bills. It was like 95-100 deg in the stadium, with no breeze or shade. 4 24oz. beers(which got me wasted in the sun) were $30. :wtf:

MOST Bucs fans I would not consider true fans. They didn't sport the orange and white when they were terrible or wouldn't sport their colors b/c they were ugly. WTF is that? Not to mention, like someone else mentioned, the fans would not come to the games when they sucked. Not true fans at all in my opinion. Fair weather fans if you ask me!!! There are few here and there, but not many. Also, I don't consider someone who goes out and pays $1k for season tickets more of a fan than a guy who sits in his living room and watches the game either.

It's funny to watch Buccaneer heaven. My dad's shop it less than a block from it. Back when they won the superbowl..lines out the door. The last two years has been real dead at that place however after each game there are more and more cars in that plaza now. :lol:
