View Full Version : Support Your Troops During the Holiday Season!

TampaForums and TampaRacing have decided to lend a hand to help the troops celebrate the holidays. A few of our family and friends have adopted some troops and are putting together care packages for the upcoming holidays. Many of the items are things that you and I take for granted but are hard to come by overseas. These are simple things that can easily be picked up next time you are at the store.

They’re still missing a few items and we’d like TampaForums and TampaRacing to donate and make this a reality.

These are the items we still need:


147 pairs of flip flops (shower type - dollar store brand)
64 dental floss
22 mouthwash
76 razors
134 q-tips
134 nasal spray
Any type of used DVD's
Money for shipping the packages overseas

We will be collecting these items at the following Quaker Steak & Lube meets:


Thursday, October 13th , 6pm-10pm
Thursday, October 27th , 6pm-10pm

Quaker Steak and Lube is in Pinellas Park on 49th Street near US19. We normally meet there every Thursday night anyways for dinner and drinks. You can check out their website at www.pinellaslube.

ok ty i well have a few items for the troop thing that yall are doing i am not sure if i can make it out there or not if i can i can't stay i will have my kids with me so if i can make it i will just drop stuff off and say hello

I will try to remember to pick up some of these items. Hopefully I can find some cheap DVD's at Walmart. I know how much I'd like some movies to watch if I was stuck overseas.

How many packages are you planning on shipping? give me a count and an aprox size and weight and I might feel generous and ship all of it out.

Yes. Not much was donated so far. The people who did brought a TON, but there were only 4 of them...

They are going to start packing the items up tomorrow night and this weekend to get them ready for shipment, so it's kinda down to the wire now.
