Want to work with mechanics

Sup im 17 years old, right now i work about 30 hours a week. and the pay aint cuttin it. Im looking to get a job working with mechanics, im really interested in cars and know a good bit, but would like to expand my knowledge and maybe even get a little hands on expierience in the process, i can work monday,wednesday,friday, saturday, sunday. between 5-10 during the week, and 5-to when ever on weekends.
