I am looking for a job in the greater Tampa Area, with a shop that specializes in performance modifications; I don't mind the occasional repair work, but I don't want that to be my bread and butter. I recieved state certifications in both automotive engine repair, and engine performance (Michigan certs, recieved '99, exp. 2002) I ran my own 'mechanic for hire' business in northern michigan, and dealing with customers who want the best service at cut rate prices isn't my forte. I prefer modifying cars (cam swaps, engine rebuilds, turbo swaps, etc.) I have experience modifying 4cyl engines, as well as v-8s.
I am moving to the Tampa Area (not sure exactly where yet) in late march/early April. I intend on re-certifying in Florida for both engine repair/performance, and would consider certifying for others if necessary.

I don't have tools right now, but would be able to get them through the shop tool supplier. (mac or snap-on, or whoever else you use)

Examples of my technical knowlege can be found by searching for posts from "91_Talon_owner" and "EngineBuilder" on www.DSMTalk.com

If you run a performance shop, or work at one that you know is looking for help, or even just know a reputable shop in the area that does the kind of work i'm looking for, let me know.
