Old/New to Tampa

I live in Lakeland..about 30-45 minutes from Tampa...What is there to do out there if I was to come that way on a weekend??? I've heard of a lot but I have never really been down into Tampa...Anyone want to help me with that???

if you were 21 i'd be glad to help. :P

good spots to hit up are channelside and hyde park. some of the places are 18 and up and theyre always a good atmosphere. if you swing it towards downtown clearwater, theres some nifty night spots there too. baywalk in st pete is good too.

during the day, hyde park still rules, as does centro ybor and baywalk in downtown st pete.
