ha ha ha, i was about to respond to urfuct's post, with the same thing you just posted. it's a great way to get their phone number without blatently asking for it, and then you know you have the right number (and they have yours).

as for the waiting before you call, it just looks (and is) desperate. if i meet a girl on thursday or friday night, i don't want to hang out with them the next day - i'd rather go out to a bar with my friends and not worry about a "date". if i meet them on saturday, i'd rather just stay in and rest on sunday. so i usually wait 3 or 4 days until i'm interested again, and try to set up a dinner during the week. perfect opportunity to actually talk to a girl, and see if you even want to bother trying to get into their pants.

When I get a girls number and I actually like her and would want to hang out with her I will call her the next day, if I'm just getting the number to get it then I'll wait 3 or more days untill I actually call her if I ever do call her..

If you meet some awesome girl and got her number, you would spend time with her right at that moment; but then you said, if some awesome girl gave you her number, you would call her 3 days later?

I usually call a chick when there's something to do. If she gave me her # on Thursday night, I may very well call her Friday or Saturday if I'm doing something exciting and need a date. If I got her number on Saturday, she might not get a call until Thursday. I hate talking on the phone, so when I call, it's normally just to setup plans. Talk to me in person.

pfft, usually if i have a great conversation with a girl i ask them what there doing the next day, hang out with them again, then try to hang out with them again, pretending im intrested, and on the third day, im aiming to boof, and by that time, u just called that girl up for the first time.

really depends on the situation ive found. sometimes calling the next day was appropriate, and worked.. other days the "3 day waiting period" seemed more appropriate.
just gotta know which to do, and that first time meeting should give you a good enough idea on which.

To the guys that want to call the next day and hang out with a chick: How do you think it looks to a chick if you meet her friday, call her saturday and try to make plans with her for that night? She'll think you have no life and have nothing to do so you called her. If you make her wait it will at least give the appearance that you have other things to do in your life, not just waitiing on her. This, in her mind, will make you more intriguing therefore more attractive.

The way I see it, if I call a girl on Saturday to hang out even though I met her Friday, she can either accept my offer or decline it. She's already made up in her mind what she thinks of me before she offered me her number. Worst case scenario, she's totally turned off by my call, so I go out Saturday by myself and pick up a new skeezer. You guys read waaaaaaaaaaaaay too far into things sometimes.
