i have GNC brand whey protein in flavors:
chocolate
Banana cream

i mostly take it plain with a blend of skim milk & crushed ice. But once a week i take it up a notch and put in a scoop of peanut butter mix with chocolate.I have mango and strawberries at home that i can try to mix with banana cream.

What other ingredients can i add to give the protien shakes some "kick" in taste?

I like to use oatmeal or frozen fruits.

I'm not trying to shit talk the thread or anything, but I remember GNC brand protein being pretty shitty as far as health values go. There was a lot of salt and cholesterol if I remember correctly.

im a fan of isopure. I dont even need a mixer for it, dissolves very quick and has a great taste.

The isopure makes me want to throw up. ON is the bomb though.

I tried the vanilla and the chocolate, both tasted like liquid styrofoam. The ON is cheaper, slightly less pure, and tastes a hell of a lot better. I'll take a little bit less pure on the protein in order to keep it down.

$35 at Bally's for the 5lb tub. It's like $30 for a 2lb tub of Isopure.

way I see it is it takes two scoops ON to equal one scoop isopure. A 5lb tub is as affective as approx 2.5lbs of Isopure, so the price is about the same.

I personaly like the chocolate... although the vanilla is horrible (haven't ntried a tasty vanilla yet). Fruit punch is good for mixing with water, and is my preference in a cutting phase.

BTW isopure MSRPs at $50, but the highest ive seen them for sale is about $28

I just made an awesome protein shake.. I used 2 scoops of vanilla ice cream flavored ON protein, 2 cups of orange juice, 1/2 of a banana, 1 cup thing of strawberry yogurt, and 1 cup thing of strawberry banana yogurt along with 4 ice cubes. It was awsome
