NEW UPDATE (03/31/06)
We are looking for (2) full time welders and (2) full time laborers.
If you're a welder, and looking for a few extra work in the afternoon or weekend, we are hiring.
Scope of work: Removing metal staircase stringers, and concrete and the framing of landings (8' x 4'), hand railings, and concrete steps (14 steps per staircase). Then, brand new staircase stringers, hand railings, and concrete steps will need to be installed.
Quantity: 76 staircases.
Location of project: Palm Harbor, FL
This is a good size project, and we are looking for some extra help on the installation, and welders to fabricate the stringer and hand rails.

There are other projects in the future, such as a very large condo in downtown St. Pete called Condo 475.
We will sign the contract with them (Irwin Contracting) very soon for this particular project. Ground was broken in a few weeks ago.
So as soon this project in Palm Harbor is complete, we will be ready for Condo 475.
Our scope of work for Condo 475 is installing balcony railings, and railings for emergency staircases.
We are currently bidding on other projects such as the very large apartment complex, The Seaport at Channelside, which consist of well over 1 mile of balcony railings. <= It's ALOT of work.

Buck, I'll call you when the time comes, which is next week if we need extra part-time welders.
You have a choice:
Pay by the piece work, or $10 hourly rate.
If you want to weld in the afternoon, most likely everything will be fitted and tacked, so you just come in, and just weld. Very simple, and easy work.
But the work needs to be done quick.
Need to produce over 3,000 feet of guardrail pickets welded within 4 months.
Operating Hours: 7am-4pm
part-time hours: 4:30pm-unknown (possibily around 8pm)
Call me if I dont call you. Im a busy guy, i might forget, ok? ;)

Starting at $9.00 per hour. Depending on how helpful you are, wage may increase.
Labors will be removing concrete steps (14 steps per staircase), then help remove the stringers and landing. Reinstall new metal stringer, new concrete steps, pour concrete on landing.
what type of welding?
Steel MIG. We have plenty of other work as I told Buck19 when he came in for a quick interview and submitting his application.

We generally stick with the 40hrs weekly.
After that, we subcontract over, and charge by the piece work.
The "piece by work" is only available for the welders and fabricators.
The welders work at their own pace, but will need quick turn arounds.
Welding helmets and gloves is to be supplied by the worker themselves.

I described the work in my posts, so you figure out if that requires experience.
My shop location is in Largo, so i need all of my workers to start and end the day at my shop.

so u expect ppl to go to largo then go to the job site(palm harbor) then back to largo?

Sort of. It's only a 30 min drive anyways.
I talked to my supervisor, and he said it' only in the morning times when he needs all of the employees at the shop, but it's not necessary to come back to the shop in the afternoon. But Fridays is a MUST to pick up paychecks.
But if you can't make the trip to the shop in the morning and evening, then we can talk about it.
If you're seriously interested in the job, then call me, PM me, Email me.

in the above post you referred to it as My shop location is in Largo, so i need all of my workers to start and end the day at my shop. now you are talking with your boss? so who would do the hiring?

I dont think it really matter whos doing the job of hiring, does it? There's actually 2 people doing the hiring: me and my supervisor.
A few of our workers in the past rarely came to our shop everyday, but few come everyday. It all depends on the employee's situation.
We're a flexible company, so dont think that we are strict on our rules.
If you have a question, PM me or call me. I will explain everything.
My cell 727-423-3093 Call me between 10am-5pm.
I'm un-subscribing to this thread now.

Awe. Why did you unsubsribe? Importluv does a lot of running around, operating the shop. He's busting his ass.
Let me know when you get the stock in. I'm going to talk to the big guy and see what the deal is with them outsourcing the chasiss. I might be able to at least drop the hours to be full time with you. If not I'll probably drop the job since I dont have any work to do. It sucks being 1-8 months ahead on my inventory. I'm building the last convertable cage right now. I'm an hour into it and I'll be done before first break tomorrow. Then waiting on tools to be fixed so I can finish out the week. After that I don't think I'll have anything to do besides help some on the mercedes.

Cus I hate checking up on this thread to see if anyone posted anything in here. On TR, any new post in your subscribed list, it sends you the link to new posts, you know what I mean?
Me busy? me now working from 7am to 6pm everyday now, and as this particular job is kicking up, I'll probably set up a bed in the office.
Dude, your work really sucks, as you explained to me about it.
I'm pretty confident there's some work for you this weekend or early next week.
Update on project: I signed the contract with the contractor yesterday, so we got the job!
Let's get the ball roll baby!
