sold my 75-300 IS on ebay for my $355 buy it now. Then spent $608 shipped for the new 70-300 and lens hood. The new one has better glass, zooms faster, and the big deal, the 2 stage image stabilizer. prior one was only the single (tilt) and this one is pan and tilt, so this should REALLY help out at the car races. still 4.5-5.6f. cant wait to try it out on sunday! i was debating between that and the F4L, 70-200, but i think the IS will do me better then then SLIGHTLY better glass.
i was also looking at the DO version, but that shit was almost twice as much.
