what's wrong with their fans? I used to work in a bar/restaurant a couple of years back. Dave Matthews fans seem to flock to the hospitality industry. I didn't mind the music before starting. Without fail, every night I would hear the same 6-10 Dave Matthews songs in a row over the jukebox (which I later figured out were played by my fellow employees). It grew more and more annoying...especially since his songs are way too long for their own good. So what I would do, is purposely play stuff like N*Sync, Britney Spears, Ace of Base and whatever else I though would annoy them (which it did). I would get into arguments with them over it. I don't mind Dave Matthews music but just not every night. But they couldn't stand me playing one or two pop songs. They would actually go into the office and skip over my songs because it annoyed them so much.

Most true Dave Matthews fans I've met are dirty, new-age hippies.

That is what happened to me all weekend. My friend Greg has everything ever done by the band. I wanted to crush him.

Frank, I will give it to them that they are talented. But when their fans blindly worship him and then try to convert you at all times....it's a bit much. It's the same with Phish, back in the 80's either you hated Phish or you loved them. I could honestly care less, but they were from Burlington and everyone there loved them.
