My company is hiring for an additional field service rep (pref. one that lives in St. Pete/Clearwater area.

Description of job:
Visits customers at their place of residence to investigate conditions requiring repairs. Determines cause of problem and responsibility for repair. Orders replacement parts, as needed, and performs repairs to correct problems. Communicates with dispatchers and service office representatives regarding the status of service calls. Notifies dealers when there are problems resulting from improper installation. Upon completion of service call, ensures customer home or job site is returned to original condition of cleanliness. Documents service call, observations, and action taken. May help train Assistant Field Service Representatives.

Education, experience, and skills required:
Must have experience in manufacturing and repair of windows and doors. Knowledge of the safe use of hand and power tools is required. Must have a good driving record; Class D operator license required. Must communicate effectively and courteously with dealers, homeowners and office staff. In order to complete repairs, must be able to lift products weighing up to 100 lbs. Must be able to bend, stoop, climb, and handle raw glass as regular part of job duties. Overnight travel may be required.

Starting pay would be based on your experience, but I believe entry level for the position is $14.00 (plus bounses/benifits). They supply you with all of the tools, a computer/phone, gas card, they start you off with $300 in spending cash (for misc. supplies, if/when you have to travel for food and such), they cover your cabel modem costs. If you are asked to go out of town they setup your hotel and you are alloted I believe $45 per day for food (I'm not positive). For the most part, you are running your own company.. you setup your appointments, you set your own hours, for the most part its a pretty easy job. For people who like to travel, they do have international services from time to time (seems like atleast one a month).

As for benifits: medical, dential, long term and short term disability, life insurance, 401K, stock options, quarterly gainshare bonuses, yearly reviews (for frield service, plant positions generally have a review every 6 months), holiday bonus check (based on years of service), computer purchase program (purchased dell/gateway at a discount and receive 2-years interest free financing), 100% tuition reinbursment (they cover classes, books, lab fees, you name it!), on-site masters degree classes, the list goes on. Great company to work for!

They are also hiring for: Miami, Orlando, Daytona, Palm Beach and an assistant rep for Miami.

If you have any questions please feel free to ask, I've been with the company for a little over 4 years, I started out of high school with zero experience at a little over $7 an hour and lastyear I took home $53K and change + benifts.

Do you have any experience in window/door installation and/or mfg of windows/doors? The MFG exp is helpful but it's not required, installation exp is required as you have to be able to tell if the product is installed correctly. As for the manf. defects, you'll learn as you go and they do offer training classes @ the factory. If you have any questions feel free to ask.

I forgot to mention that they do supply you with transportation.
