does anyone know some decent plants/flowers that are low maintenance but still look nice?

also, anyone have any cool gardening designs? we have a huuuuuuge backyard that used to look phenominal, and is now completely blah. it'd be nice to get it back up to par (pics soon to come)

Daylilies and Zinnias are easy to grow and trouble free.
Cypress Vines on a trellis.

Mexican Sunflowers. You can bake them in the heat and they still grow.

Lowes should have the Daylilies and Zinnias potted and pretty cheap. We used to plant them every year at our house. Quick and easy.

The Mexican Sunflowers and vines were easy to grow from seeds. I bought a few things ($1.69 a pack?) but those were the one's that I had good luck with.

Ever seen the flower mats?

My mom brought some of these home before and cut it to curve around the tree and swings. That thing was amazing! 8)

I've been putting a few hours in here and there. Once I get the beds cleaned up I'm going to throw down the rest of my seeds and buy some of the roll and grows things.

When my parents lived at the house landscaping was their hobby so the whole place was done up. I'm pretty sure yours was the same (only saw it in the dark)? They moved, I let it go to shit so everything grew wild or died. Now I'm fighting back but it's a PITA.

if you have a fence or somewhere vines to crawl I recommend Jasmine. Awsome little white flowers about the size of a quarter and they smell sooo good. They are very strong scented, you can smell them 50ft away when the wind is blowing right.
