Looks good, real good.
I opted to skip the seed and I am going bahia sod.
Tell me how the seeds go for you and how many weeds you get. :)

I did rhy (spelling?) grass seed last winter. Worked great. Lush green grass. Now it's dead due to it being hot out.

Corey, no monsters, but the neighbors keep trying to steal my crops. I've got to load the 12 gauge tonight.

:lmao: that's awsome. You are minus some crop circles though. Just keep the lawn watered, like everyday. don't let the ground dry out. read up on scott's website about reseeding lawns.

I'll recap....
Sprayed the whole yard with round-up a week earlier
woke up at noon last Saturday after drinking the night before and rented a tiller
Went over the whole front yard once with the tiller (using it was NOT easy, took a lot of strength to maneuver it around)
raked all of the debris to the side
went over it again with the tiller
raked it all to the side again
went over some rough spots with the tiller
raked the whole yard again
tried to level out as much of teh soil as possible with the rake.
watered the soil
spread out fertilizer
spread out seed
raked the seed in
shoveled / hauled / all of the excess to the back yard
cleaned up with the leaf blower / broom
water, water, water every day!
I finished about 6 PM and felt like death warmed over

I'm removing hedges from my front lawn, and It's being a huge bitch. And leaving awesome sandy spots. The backyard is ripped to hell from the plumbers, and overall the yard sucks. I want to tear it all up, do edging around the trees, or trees I have left. Then get the grass back up to par.

90% of my yard is sandy soil. I pulled up the hedges at the front as well - they made the lawn seem so much smaller...

My hedges are massive. I mean really out of control things.
I think after work I'm going to trim them down a few feet. I have so much to do it's not even funny. Former residents used gravel for everywehre and everything planter related.

You can kinda see it here. They just slapped plants in there and none of them were watered, or ever survived. So I want to remove that and put red mulch in it, and maybe some actual plants.
Theres a little section between the front entry and the carport that is all gravel too. I want to dig that up and mulch that, or maybe actual flowers?

Lol!!!
no matter how much u seeded, there are going to be some bare spots....i have been battling weeds in my gf's bahia for a while now...and its time for ZOYSIA PLUGS ---> http://www.sodsolutions.com/photo_gallery/index.shtml#empire mmm i cant wait (and its not too late for u!!!
btw, the plugs are pretty affordable (way more affordable than sod)
also make sure its "empire zoysia" thats supposed to be the best for FL lawns

Well I know it takes time, but so far I have not been impressed with my results. It's not bare spots - it's more like 10% is sprouting and the rest looks like barren desert...

on the bag of seed what was the germination rate printed? not that it really matters cause I know it had to be more than 10%

Clint went and picked it up for me, he went through most of the buckets to get the highest he could find. They were both 92%
