What type of shutters do you home owners have? I currently have 3/4 plywood, but I am thinking about getting the hurricane fabric, as the pylwood is heavy and takes a couple of hours to put up.

One of these days when I get some free time I am going to get a quote on those hurricane resistant impact windows. The windows are 70 years old, and thin as shit anyway. I figure better cooling/heating bill, and the lack of preparing for a storm will be worth it.

That screen is neat stuff. I may just go get some strong stuff that looks like that and anchor it myself....it HAS to help some(without paying what htey want) plywood sucks.

I have those old lockable clamshell shutters.

And my dad gave me a bunch of things called plylox.

They are tabs with teeth, that you attach to the plywood, and push into the window opening. No holes in the wall.
