^ I just built a garden pond (20x10) and waterfall deal. About two weeks ago put some feeder goldfish in it to see if they would even live before I went and spent $4.00 per fish to throw in it. A week later they were ALL gone, all 12 of them. Damn racoons. Im gonna put some rocks in the bottom and some plants in it so the fish can hide from preying eyes. Your neighbor may wanna do the same.

Post pics of this turtle habitat thing. sounds interesting/cool.

I stopped by a few pond places. They helped protect the fish by giving them a covered area at teh bottom of the pond.

This was either done with a rock ledge over hang, or a buried pipe/pot.

Anyway to make that a little more natural looking? That looks like a turtle death trap.

I'd grab a plastic pond tub and fill it with rocks. This would also make it easier for the turtle to get in and out. I would also add a pump so the water doesnt stagnate. That water will go bad in a few days come summer time.

Maybe a few plants?

I really pictured more than a few sheets of plywood and a kiddie pool.

Give them a larger water area with some sort of resting area in the water. they are going to love hanging out on a log in the water, a smooth, or easier entry is going to be vital too, some shade, and some cover.

It looks like something I would see on an episode of "Animal Police" on Animal Planet! :lmao:

What kind of turtles are they, anyway? I assume some type of aquatic turtle?
