Looks really good. I did a project like that two years ago at my friends house. New tiles transform a house.

In all reality if you want to do it right air compressor is a way to go with a air setup... DONT go over the old tile... its a ghetto way to do it and im sure you will want your house done right.. then lay tiles...

Figure it this way the ripup will cost ya 1.00 a foot on average and 2.50-3.50 a foot to lay it if you went through me ;)

the old tile sucked, i went to home depot, 2 guys told me to just use a small sledge hammer and a blanket and beat the crap out of it, i got it all up that night, took me about 3 hours, but the next morning i had to rent a power scraper to get up the old thinset. anyway about the tile over tile, i've read in many cases it's completely fine, my original tile was in perfect order, even and all. works all the same, makes no difference, just raises the floor around 3/8-1/2" i bought a reducer molding for my wood flooring and you would never be able to tell it's tiled over tile. it was much easier, i pulled it up in the kitchen because i didn't wanna raise the range and dishwasher, the dishwasher would not have had the clearance to go back in.

used a cheapy tile saw, that cut was rediculous, it would have never worked out without doing what we did.

sledgehammer and a little bit of festering rage is much more satisfying than some damn air chisel. think of it as an opportunity to get in touch with your violent side.

LoL, yeah, but it gets old, you can only swing the hammer so many times before you feel like your arm is going to fall off.
