I honestly think it is somewhat "trendy" now. I'm not saying that to trivialize gay people in any way though. But I think alot of people do it to be different or for the attention. Like the thread the other day in here asking the girls if they really are gay or do they just say shit for attention. One of the girls said she's kissed a girl but would never do anything else with one. How do you find someone attractive enough to make out with but are repulsed at the thought of doing anything else?
