whos down for getting one before being married?honestly it could save you alot of trouble.if she gets pissed you wanna keep what you earned then you know she's a greedy evil woman.if she doesnt care about your money then she still is evil but an independent evil woman who can take care of herself and may really love your ass.

thoughts?

I think I would do a prenup if I believed in getting married. But since I don't...I guess I don't have to really worry about it too much.

If you love someone and you marry them, why would you think to draft a contract illustrating your divorce?

Seems like buying a coffin before your time to me, you shouldn't marry someone that is going to PIITB at the end of the relationship in my opinion. Reasonable and realistic break-ups aren't that difficult.

Honestly I dont give a shit. All my assets will be so protected that even if I didnt sign a pre-nupt she wouldnt get anything. I could have a million dollar house, drive a Mclaren, and have a few million in the bank and not worry. Financial literacy ftw.

Because, with a 52% divorce rate in the U.S. it would probably be smart to plan for it

And the death rate of humans is somewhere around 100%, its kinda smart to plan for that too.

Lets look at the statistics of how many men end up paying women vs women paying men at the end of marriages.

I believe that if you are truely in love it wont be necessary. I would not ask for one, ot me its like saying i dont trust you and that is what a marriage should be built on :dunno:

Prenups are in most cases worthless. If there is a lot of money involved and the woman wants to be a bitch about it, she won't have any problem finding a capable lawyer to break it.

But if you find a woman that is dumb enough to believe a prenup is some sort of cast in stone document, or if you don't make enough money for any lawyer to give a shit about you, then a prenup might be worthwhile.

So I guess they wouldn't be a bad idea for the members of this board. :)

i won't need a prenump because if i marry a woman and she ever tries to leave me, i'll slit her fucking throat. and i'll make it look like a one-armed man did it so i walk scott free. then i live even richer from the insurance proceeds.

If you reallly love that person you wouldn't need one ?
trust me the majority of people on their wedding day think with absolutely 100% of there being. That this is the day. This the person they will spend the rest of there life with.. BUt stats show over 50% will divorce..

That means that over 50% of people that think their in love will find out oneday that they are not..

chris rock says if your rich.. you dont need one.. but if you make 30,000 then you best be gettin one..

you make 18 million she wants 12. You ain't starvin..
You make 30,000 and she wants 15. You might have to killa bitch..
I aint moving back home with mom just cause you aint in love..

while many people may disagree, i believe it should be a legal requirement.
It would save a lot of money, stress, time, and troubles.
Thats just my .02 though.

I'd be down with signing one with no problem. I wouldn't want to take anything that isn't mine, and I don't want him taking my trust funds/inheritance.

i think if you're going to get a pre-nupt then why get married in the first place?? like someone said, i dont want something thats going to say how my divorce is going to go. wtf is the point in getting married if your like well If we get a divorce?? then you're not TOTALLY sure you want to be with that person the rest of your life.

fucking retarded if you ask me.

oh yea and this
ot me its like saying i dont trust you and that is what a marriage should be built on
EXACTLY.
it would kind of make me feel like shit if my fiance told me he wanted one........

I'm with Moldy on this. If I finally am ever duped into getting married, it's only going to be one time. She fucks up, she will be found in a cadillac trunk somewhere in Nova Scotia.

no matter how you slice it people change and doesnt even have to be in an evil way.both parties could fall out of love and it has nothing to do with trust.it has to do with being fair,if one party does all the work the other party shouldnt get credit for doing nothing.they even tell you in the church that its a "contract" so why not have rules?

cel0ta

yeah i guess you can fall out of love but if before you're even married your already saying "when we fall out of love".... its kind of discouraging. it would make me feel like they doin't have that much faith in our relationship... thats me though...
