How do we do this? Do we need to upload the mp3 to the server? If so how can we do that?

it needs to be hosted already. then just paste it into the first field on the Basic CSS editor, or use this code

<embed src="file name.mp3" width="232" height="32 loop="true" autostart="true" type="audio/mpeg"/>
</embed>

and you can change the height and width of the player obviously if you want to or leave that out. fuck param shit anyway, nobody should be using IE anyway :lol:

The only thing that sucks about using the css editor to add an mp3 is that if you didnt use the css editor to edit your profile, it will change everything back to normal.

It didn't do that with mine. I added a background image and the mp3 and my profile stayed the same. all black in the boxes, all my columns exactly as they were. :dunno:

there are some attributes that will change back to default if you modified them and they cant be changed with the CSS editor. (background-position, stuff like that)

Not taking anymore hostees. Thanks! :)

But, for people wanting to put music on their pages.
I learned through about 5 tries, that the name of your mp3 must be in lower case in order for the player to recognize and play the file.
I did it a few times different ways and lower case with no space is the only way it will work.

IE: crissangelmindfreak.mp3

There can be no spaces between the words at all. You have to be able to change the properties of the file, not just rename it if it has upper case and spaces.

IE: If it looked like this before, Criss Angel Mindfreak.mp3, you must change it to this through properties, crissangelmindfreak.mp3

www.singingfish.com is a good place to find media files already hosted.
