Anyone try it? Thoughts?
My mom is buying it for me as an early Christmas present because I'm a fattie. Just wondering if anyone has had it and seen results?
And yes, I plan on working out along side of it.

alot of people are bad cooks or just lack originality (or time) to prep and create nutritional meals that will allow them to lose weight. any program that offers to do the hardwork for you is a great way to get in the mindset of eating healthy. so as long as you like the taste of what they give you and can afford this route, then yes, its an excellent way to lose weight. it eliminates the guess work and trouble.

Friend of mine wants to try this. Very expensive, but if you can afford to keep it up, then go for it.
Basically as soopasteve said, it takes the hard work out of the cooking and guessing macro and micro nutrients..

My mom gained a lot of weight with her last pregnancy (me). She used Nutrisystem to lose it all.

I just got it in today. Boy is the box heavy! Everything in it can be stored without being refrigerated which is nice. It was wierd tos ee how small the portions are compared to what people usually eat but everything looks like it should be good. My mom brought me over some dietary supplements as well so I can kinda jump start my weight loss. I weighed myself today at 308... I almost had a heart attack, but it's good I'm starting this otherwise I really could have one. =(
I'll make sure to post updates and everything next month! My mom bought a scale and measuring tape but she's keeping it with her so I don't constantly weigh myself like I'm used to. The only stigma I need to get over is "If it tastes good, it's probably not good for you." *sigh* They have people there 24 hours a day though in case I need someone to talk to about it.
*crosses fingers*
And yes, I'm going to work out as soon as Pat gets home. :bounce:

Awesome Christi. You can do this if you really want it.
Keep us posted on your progress and if you need to vent or talk to people, post up in PW or something.
I totally support you in this. It will make you healthier to lose some weight.
You don't have to be model thin, just get healthy. :)

I just posted in PR. I need a walking buddy.
I do NOT want to be model thin... I would love to get down to 170 at some point. Being 5'9'' I think that would look good on me.

LOL I am so not showing pictures... yet. My "before" Picture is totally 100% icky and will gross people out from the fat rolls. haha.
I just do 30 minutes of cardio at night. You know the DDR game? (Dance dance revolution) where you just on the arrows to follow the steps to music? It's pretty fun and I look like an ass hat doing it but I work up a solid sweat.
Plus, I haven't had a single drop of soda. Just 10 glasses of water a day.

All it is are pre-set portions with reasonable balance and the foods with a glycemic index that people should be consuming.
It is def. worth a shot, however it is simply portion control made easy.
Christi don't worry about feeling "icky". Most in here have had their lows, I myself dont have ONE shirtless picture of me 4 years ago.

That's why I don't want to show this... not yet. I was in a bikini so I could see JUST what I'm loosing, without clothes slimming me down.

In one of the best fitness books I've ever read, they recommend that you keep pictures on monthly intervals, as well as a journal of what you are eating and when. This will only work if you're honest, and if you ACTUALLY look at your picture, and GET disgusted with yourself. The idea is to acknowledge the problem area(s), and use your pictures/journal to keep track of the forward progress. Thus keeping you ambituous, because seeing yourself every day, you may not actually take not to the overall gains/changes/improvements. Also you'll be able to look back at your journal to see where you can make more/better changes if you've hit a plateau.
Just some useless 411 ;) Congrats on the start of your losses, and keep up the good work. You should look into a gym that has a Treadmill/Elliptical setup so that you can do some real cardio training. I'm sure the video game is good, but you could do more/better ;)

The DDR idea is awsome. I did that for a little while ...went out and bought the pads and everything.....EVERYONE made fun of me, but DDR is actual a great way to lose weight....It has a calorie counter and distance measure...plus if you suck at dancing it gives you another added benefit..lol
Keep up the good work christi

Good work, you can see definite improvements!
Aww congrats!! I have heard good things about Nutrisystem...I know Phil Margera was on it when he was a part of Celebrity Fit Club. I can see a difference between the two pictures, keep up the good work!!
I've been eating pretty healthy over the past month but more than anything I've been Spinning for 40 mins, sometimes 20 Min elliptical and then 20 min spin.. but i try to exercise about 35-40 mins per day.. But on top of that I walk ~2.5 miles round trip to/from campus. I have seen some MAJOR results in my body.So if you ever get tired of walking or treadmilling, try spinning :D Just try to keep your RPMS over 70.

Hopefully it's in a safe area of town. I suggest you don't do that often, though. Lots of weirdos out to rape any girl. I would suggest jogging in a gated community or on a treadmill at home or gym (using incline). That's what I do! Any pics?! Congrats by the way.

well when you eat like shit for 20+ years, i think they do the right thing by making the portions super small to kinda blance out a lifetime of bad eating habits. oh and starving sure for the first few weeks but youe body will learn to work with the smaller portions, hell i eat 6 big meals a day adn still am hungry so i could only image those tiny meals.
i think what a lot of people don't get is it's not a diet that will work, it's a lifestyle change that will, you can eat this stuff for 6 months lose weight and then abandend it gain all the weight and then blame the "diet" as the problem, when it's your eating habits. sorry got off ona rant thier not towards anyone i just quoted you,

Best sentence of the thread! People who follow DIETS, are made to fail. People who CHANGE THEIR LIFESTYLES, will succeed. End of story.
